Aundre Landron Price was born on February 7, 1988, in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Henry "Peanut" Nash and Stella Louise Hammonds-Price. From the very beginning, Aundre had a brightness about him—a light that seemed to draw people in. He was raised in a family that loved hard and deeply, and those values followed him throughout his life.
He received his education through the Atlanta and Texas Public School Systems, attending C.D. Hubert Elementary School and proudly graduating from Robert M. Shoemaker High School, Class of 2006. It was during these formative years that Aundre discovered some of his greatest passions: interior designing and painting, music, and simply sitting by the beach, finding peace in the rhythm of the waves.
Aundre's love for music truly came to life as a member of the Shoemaker High School Marching Band. There, his appreciation for rhythm and sound bloomed, and so did his love for dancing. Whether he was moving to the beat or helping transform a room with a designer’s eye, Aundre brought beauty, creativity, and passion into everything he touched.
The Lord welcomed Aundre into eternal rest on Sunday, June 15, 2025. He joins his beloved parents, Stella and Henry, and others who preceded him in passing: his grandmother, Serlena Smith Hammonds; uncles, Henry, Howard, and Eugene Hammonds; aunt Mattalyn Hammonds. We find comfort in knowing he is reunited with them now—his spirit finally at peace, surrounded by the love that shaped him.
But today, we also celebrate the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind. Aundre is survived by his devoted partner, R. Verone, who stood beside him with unwavering love and support; his brother, Drexil Smothers; and his niece and nephews, Kieshonna and Keyon Smothers, and Marquise Howard, who each brought him immense pride and joy. He also leaves behind a host of cousins and dear friends, each one touched by his laughter, generosity, and unique ability to make everyone feel seen and valued.
Aundre was more than a son, a brother, a partner, or a friend—he was a light, a joy, a creative force. He could walk into a room and change its energy. His laughter could lift a heavy heart, and his creativity could transform the ordinary into something extraordinary.
As we remember Aundre, let us not dwell solely on the sorrow of his passing but rejoice in the gift of his life. Let us carry forward his love for art, for music, for color and movement—and for the calming embrace of a seaside breeze. Let us honor him by living fully, laughing freely, and loving deeply.
Rest well, Aundre. Your presence will forever echo in our hearts. You are deeply missed, eternally loved, and never forgotten.
