Evelyn Kelley

On one summer day, Evelyn White-Kelley, made her entrance into the world to the late
Georgia Ann Adkins and Nathaniel Faison Jr., in Columbus, Georgia. She was the
second child of five siblings. Two siblings (Clarence Eubanks Jr, and Christopher
Antonio Eubanks) preceded her in death.
At a young age, Evelyn accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a faithful
member of Greater Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she was an usher. Eventually,
she moved to Metro Atlanta and joined Love Life CFC in 2008.
She attended Muscogee County Public Schools and later went on to obtain her
Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from Troy State University, as well as being on the
Dean's List. She worked as an Interim Substitute Teacher in Muscogee County
(Columbus) and Fulton County (Atlanta) Public School Systems. Her love for children
gravitated her to Long Term Subbing for children with Special Needs.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend. Her
specialized dishes that everyone loved were: macaroni and cheese, baked beans, and
lasagna.
She was lovingly known as “Eve” to family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with
family, was the life of the party on the dance floor, enjoyed football, and was a die-hard
Falcons and Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
Eve leaves to cherish her precious memories, her devoted husband of 18 years,
Anthony Kelley; children, Charles (Gwen) Faison; Nikki White; Dexter White; Jessica
Kelley; Timothy Harris; Marquez Barkley; sister, Demetra McCormick; brother, Michael
(Frances) Eubanks; sister-in-law, Annette Kelley; brother-in-law, Timothy Kelley; 15
grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and
friends.
