Mr. Kenneth Wayne Jones
Mr. Kenneth Wayne Jones (Kenny) was born June 15, 1959, in Decatur, Georgia, to the late Mr. Henry Major Sr. and the late Mrs. Lena Jones Major who instilled faith, family and fellowship in him throughout the years.
Kenny attended Dekalb County Schools and played football for his highschool team. After high school he was known to be the "Life of the Party" and his personality spoke volumes to everyone he encountered. He met a lot of people, but never met a stranger. In his 20s he met his soulmate, future wife, and best friend for life, LaNett.
At an early age, he showed signs of innovation and leadership. He loved to cook, a skill embedded in him from his mom, which in turn allowed him to express this love to others. Kenny was always a go-getter and hard worker. He started working in his early teens, developing a strong work ethic and sense of entrepreneurship. This eventually led him to becoming his own boss by establishing Jones & Jones Flooring, doing what he loved. This pride and joy lasted 30+ years allowing time for one of his favorite hobbies, Fishing. These passions he shared wholeheartedly with family, friends, and loved ones.
Kenny was a man of God. He became a member of Victory World Church in Norcross, Ga and rededicated his life to the Lord on March 21, 2015. His passion for the Word was evident in his conversations with family and friends. His knowledge of scripture was happily shared with everyone that would listen.
Kenny leaves to carry on his legacy his wife: LaNett, his children: Tanika, Kenneth KD (Deborah), Bobby (Juanita), and Nicole.
Six grandchildren: Raegan, Madison, Sanii Jade, Kaelyn, and Kayani, Siblings: Linda, Henry (Mattie), Michael, Brenda, Ronald, and Charnelle. He was preceded in death by Richard, Luther, Mary and Janice. He also leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
