PAMELA YOUNG-WORTHY

Pamela Yvette Young- Worthy to whom her family and friends affectionately referred as “Pam”, departed this world unexpectedly on November 16, 2022 at the age of 54. Pamela was born on May 3, 1968 to Willie and Doris Young in Buffalo, New York. Granted she was the couple’s sixth child and would only briefly identify as the youngest, Pam had a way of preserving her role as her mother’s baby. After graduating from Bennett High School in 1986, she went on to study Cosmetology at Peter Piccolo School of Hair Design where she ultimately gained the tools necessary to obtain her licensure as a Cosmetologist. Having followed in her footsteps, Pam willfully worked under the skilled guidance of her eldest sister Elizabeth “Renee” within her renowned hair salon, Diva's Den, before branching out on her own. In 1994, after relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, Pamela briefly worked as an Administrative Assistant at Metro Home Health where she met her husband, Romaro Worthy. The two were married in April of 1996 in Buffalo, New York. Together they raised two daughters, Jacelyn and Jordyn each of whom Pamela loved to no end. Pamela later pursued a career as a Leasing Consultant working for multiple properties within the Metro Atlanta area. She eventually established a role as a Property Manager for a small Townhome Property in Clarkston, Georgia. Such experience she later acknowledged as the highlight of her professional endeavors. Best known for her spirited appreciation for musical artists such as Marvin Gaye, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder, Pam was also the joy of her family and the life of every party. You could always count on Pam to make you laugh during the most inconvenient moments, advise you through the most complicated of circumstances, and to show up late to important functions. Charming, impartial, affectionate, boisterous, and beautiful inside and out; Pam’s spirit was one of one and we are all proud to have called her our wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her siblings Anthony Young, Keith Young, Elizabeth Renee Young, Willie Young Jr., and Richard Young. She is survived by her husband Romaro Worthy, daughters Jacelyn Hudson (Mark) and Jordyn Worthy, siblings Cynthia Young, Diane Young (Aaron), Tracy Midgett, Keyona Young, Delmarist Anderson, Steven Young (Donna), Kevin Young, and Justin Young, her beloved grandchildren William Rogers Jr., Lauren Rogers, Lorelei Hudson, Wilder Hudson, and Luna Hudson alongside a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones who will miss her dearl
