Patricia Jenkins-Nyaguze Obituary

Patricia Ann Jenkins-Nyaguze, "The Woman Who Never Wanted to Die." Patricia, the daughter of the late Charlie Elliott Cleveland and the late Mary Frances Jenkins, was born on January 18, 1953, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the youngest of her siblings. She fell asleep in death on Monday, March 31, 2025, with her children and three grandchildren by her side.

Patricia was also affectionately called: PiiJai, Pat, Tricia Ann, Ms. Pat, Momma Pat and Nannah.

Patricia always envisioned having a large family with at least 12 children. Though she had five biological children, she raised, sheltered, supported and inspired so many more.

Patricia was educated in the Atlanta Public Schools system and graduated from Smith High School. She achieved some secular accomplishments after attending a business college in Atlanta, Georgia.

In her early twenties, Patricia entered the United States Air Force. After tragedy in the family and receiving an honorable discharge, Patricia returned to Atlanta, Georgia and commenced her long-term career with Atlanta Public Schools system, as a secretary.

Patricia always had a deep love for Almighty God and she was an avid Bible reader. She was an individual with an open mind and explored many faiths. Later she began to learn the truth about what the Bible really teaches and made the personal decision to dedicate her life to serving Almighty God, Jehovah and to following his Son, Jesus Christ, according to the Bible's teachings. On March 9, 1997, Patricia symbolized her dedication as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was baptized. She enjoyed sharing the Bible's assured promises of a heavenly hope and the promise of an earthly hope of paradise with whomever would listen. She joyfully shared the good news of what Almighty God's kingdom or government will bring. She especially loved speaking with her children and grandchildren. Being one of Jehovah's Witnesses was her greatest and most treasured accomplishment.

Patricia dearly loved her brother, Michael Jenkins, and was proud to inform others in his presence, "That's my brother..!" and often told her children how much she loved him.

Patricia was a woman whose energy, caring nature, fun personality, compassion, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her. Her giving spirit and unwavering kindness left a lasting impact on many who crossed her path.

She loved helping others, music, good food, dancing and traveling. Her children were her pride and joy, one of her greatest motivations in life and she had intense love for them.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings. (Loretta Diane Jenkins Harris, Linda Sharon Jenkins Camp, and Mildred Elaine Cleveland Petro, Jerome and Charlie, Jr.).

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Hope Shauree Williams (Anthony), Teresia F. Nyaguze-Allen, Gabriel M. Nyaguze, Michael Nyaguze, Jr., Beth Lynette Fox (Shannan), Elliott K. Nyaku; a daughter in love who she affectionately called Samone, and a host of grandchildren, relatives and spiritual family.

"...there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." Acts 24:15

"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
