Sr. Pastor Reverend Raleigh Rucker transitioned on Thursday, September 2, 2021.  Celebration of Life will be held Sunday September 12, 2021 at 2 o’clock pm at Mt. Patmos Baptist Church, 2207 Candler Road, Decatur, Georgia 30032. Reverend Joe D. McClain of Greater Bethel Baptist Church, Newark, NJ, Eulogist. Resting Place will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.  A wake will be held TODAY Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 4 o’clock PM until 7 o’clock PM at New Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 1690 Melrose Drive SW, Atlanta, Georgia 30310 Reverend P. L. Redmond, Jr., Pastor.

Reverend Raleigh Rucker is the Pastor and Founder of Mt. Patmos Baptist Church in July 1977, Founder and CEO of Raleigh Rucker Funeral Home in June 1972, and a pillar in the community. 

 He leaves to carry his legacy on to his one daughter; Ms. LaTasha Rucker seven sons; Mr. Raleigh Rucker, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Victor Rucker (Sherlyn), Reverend Tremayne Rucker, Mr. and Mrs. Demingo Wilson (Sharonda), Mr. Denardus Rucker, Mr. Demarius “Jamie” Patrick, and Mr. Christopher “Joshua” Rucker, eight granddaughters ; Miss Sarita Rucker, Miss Auriel Rucker, Miss Shiante Rucker, Miss Shentelle Rucker, Miss Aurianna Rucker (Ronnie), Miss RaLeiah “Shae’” Rucker, Little Miss Kimiyah Patrick, Little and Little Miss Amber Rucker, five grandsons; Mr. Kenneth Rucker, Mr. Julian Rucker, Mr. Myles Rucker, Mr. Cameron Wilson and Master Isarel Rucker, three great grandchildren; Master Kaden Rucker, Little Miss Julianna Rucker, and Master Rashad Martin, four sisters; Mrs. Mildred Harris Hayes, Mr. and Mrs. Turner Carter (Patricia), Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Turner (Deborah) and Ms. Minnie Rucker, Mt. Patmos Baptist Church Family,  Raleigh Rucker Funeral Home Staff, special friends; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  The cortege will assemble at Mt.
